Food for thought
"𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲."
(You might have heard this phrase often)

But it’s never just that, is it?
It’s a world you choose to step into, a tapestry of stories you weave yourself into. It’s not mere pixels or polygons; it’s grief and triumph, hardship and healing. Games tell stories that bleed into our souls
when the World feels too loud, I often dive too deep in them, living alongside characters I end up caring about, breathing in their victories and sorrows. It’s not escapism. It’s connection. It’s finding fragments of yourself in realms far from your own.

We’ve moved beyond big monsters and endless odds. Now, games hit harder: they wound, they whisper truths we didn’t know we needed to hear. They deliver a punch to the gut, a blade to the heart.
And if a game doesn’t shake you awake, what are you playing it for?
Not for mindless fun, surely. We have enough of that outside the screen. No, seek games that leave marks! Games that grieve with us. Games that feel like loss, like exile, like falling into the dark.
A game should be an axe for the frozen sea within us; cutting, breaking, freeing.
It’s no longer just about passing time. They’re mirrors; showing us the stories we hide from, or the ones we long to live.

The Good:
* Exhaustive detail provides one of the more authentic looks at the latter American West
* Excellent pacing and interplay of game systems
* Sweeping mountains and exceptionally crisp night sky
* My gorgeous horse, Freya

The Bad
*Choice paralysis

The Ugly
* Ambiguous moral equivocation

# The Verdict:

A sprawling Western that is without a doubt one of the greatest open-world games of all time. Red Dead Redemption 2 is a game of rare scope and even rarer quality. A beautiful ode to an ugly era; RDR2 combines Rockstar’s most authentic and lived-in open world ever with its most earnest storytelling to date, filling in the gaps with an astonishing array of deep systems and nearly endless emergent gameplay opportunities. Its slower pace allows us to binge on the world like a virtual museum but, when the lead starts flying, it puts the wild back in the west (and then some). Few games manage the level of uncompromising detail as Red Dead Redemption 2 does.
To sum it all up. RDR2 is a technical marvel.

Idk how we became steam friends but one of the most trustworthy people on Steam. Lucky to have got gamer friends like him. Although we don't play together much these days due to time constraints, we continue to be in touch.
