I do recommend Odyssey, though I only recommend it to people within the current "mid tier" gaming PC range. I recommend no less then 16 GB of RAM and at least a 20 series card or AMD equivalent.

Pros:
• You get boots on ground
• You can raid settlements
• You are able to do legitimate salvage at wreck sites
• You can go to a low atmosphere planet
• You can find new wild life
• You can aid a galactic power on foot (or remain independent, who cares!)

Cons:
• There are performance issues
• Not optimized for 10 series cards
• FPS can dip to the low teens (if in the 20 series or equivalent with Ultra)
• There is bugs

Nonetheless, this is one of the biggest expansions yet for E:D and as a console "Legacy" Commander myself that has just recently swapped to PC and is in the "mid-tier" range, I am happy with Odyssey. As this is a very complex game, I would expect for bugs to be there! It was just released, and some people's reviews are completely biased.

I have been considered lucky as I do not experience much performance issues, but I've not heard anything from anyone with a 30 series card. Those that I have heard have only 8 GB of ram or need a new CPU!

Ultimately, do I recommend for anyone to buy this? Yes! As long as you meet the recommended specs!
