I'm kind of obsessed with this game. Thought it looked interesting, went in completely blind, got blown the ♥♥♥♥ away at how good this game is, became slightly more depressed than usual, overall I'd say this was a good purchase. No joke, be warned that this game can and will make you actually depressed, but the story, characters, and world building are SO GOOD that I have to recommend. On top of that, the game has a KILLER soundtrack that spans a wide range of emotions, from happy upbeat world themes to INCREDIBLY high intensity fight music to down right unnerving songs that fill you with existential dread. Seriously, I've listened to the OST pretty much every night for the past couple weeks.

I absolutely recommend playing this game blind, don't look up any let's plays, walkthroughs, etc. before going in. Just go in, make some friends, have a few laughs, and experience the pitiful concept we call human emotions.

I bought this game one day because I wanted to learn how to make my own deck building game. That was 4 weeks ago. I've spent most of my free time playing this game since and have already spent 50 hours playing it. So yeah, I'd say this is a pretty good game.

I love me some difficult platformers, and Celeste is truly the pinnacle of the genre. The game just feels so good to play, and it offers just the right amount of challenge to make the game fun. The game is not only forgiving with it's input buffering and short re-spawn time, but it also actively encourages the player to continue playing by reassuring the player that your 500+ deaths are actually a mark of learning and progress. This game is just pure platforming bliss.

I've seen a couple people complain about this game's difficulty, but personally, I thought this game was way too easy, even on Master. Heck, I could beat the game on Master AND open the jealous chest wearing a blindfold and using only one toe. Now, if you're looking for a real challenge, hold the right key while on difficulty select to unlock the hidden "reallyjoel's dad" difficulty. This difficulty is so hard, I almost had to use TWO toes!
