I don't care who sees this. I don't care how I sound. I don't care about anything other than what I need to get off of my chest at this very moment in time.

I have been diagnosed with ASD, anxiety, severe depression, and have been dealing with suicidal ideation ever since my early teenage years.

I have never been this moved by a piece of media. Ever.

I think back to my time spent at a psychiatric hospital after my suicide attempt in 2022. I remember how scared I was. They wouldn't allow me to see or interact with my family for more than a 15 minute phone call a day. The doctors kept pumping me with drugs to calm me down. I disassociated to the point where I voluntarily slept in the detox room to avoid dealing with the other patients. It was genuinely the darkest time in my life.

The memory I choose to hang onto was when I was released after a week spent in that facility. It was a Monday in May, early afternoon. My mom gave me a hug in the lobby for what felt like a lifetime. As we exited the building, she could tell I was overwhelmed and overstimulated, so she took my belongings and allowed me to stand on the curb while she pulled the car around.

I distinctly remember the oak tree planted in the roundabout. I saw the sun pass through the branches. I felt the sun's warmth on my face. And for that instant, that moment, I knew what it was like to want to live. I broke down crying and, fearing the worst, my mom exited the car and ran to me, asking what was wrong. I looked at her and said, "Nothing."

As I am writing this, tears are streaming down my face as a result of this short interactive experience, and I haven't experienced anything like it since that hot day in May. I don't know how I learned of this game. I don't know what caused me to download it, or play it. But it feels like, at this moment in time, the universe knew I needed this. I needed this time of reflection. I needed these affirmations that life is indeed worth living. I needed to know that good things are destined for me.

I can't say for certain if you would be touched the same way I was, and frankly I don't give a damn. All I want is for the people who made this game to know that they have made my life better.

Thank you so much.
