Could go on and on in detail about everything wrong and everything right with this DLC, but there's nothing that hasn't already been said in the reviews. That being said, there're still some things I can't avoid directing attention at yet another time.

1. Scadutree blessing system is a complete and utter flop;
2. Bossfights more often than not are straight up horrible - out of 15 major bosses only 6 were rather pleasant fights - artificial difficulty all around. Overtuned damage, excessive forward momentum on attacks, excessive aggression with up to 90% attacking uptime, general spastic nature abusive towards lock-on creating artificial visual mess - all of these feel horrible to fight and unrewarding to learn, more often than not you're just glad it's over and don't feel good in any way;
3. World exploration feels like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Find a legendary drop at the end of a very large location only to find out it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ glovewort or a cookbook for something you're never gonna bother using;
4. Cosmetic poise stat on the player(poise just died after DS2 I guess) - poise-broken by everything while wearing heavy armor, and seemingly randomly placed near-infinite poise on most enemies.

Still, have to mention that the world looks and sounds fantastic - almost any random overworld spot could be screenshotted and with the most minimal do-over passed for an actual painting, and most major boss battle OSTs are some of the best they've made to date - music in fromsoft games just keeps getting better and better. Also the main story and NPC quests are neat at the very least. These, however, do not outweigh the aforementioned grievances. Would only recommend getting this DLC on sale or smth.

I just really REALLY hope this thing being a paid DLC is a nintendo-pushed exception. If not, the existance of this is a very bad sign for the future of fromsoft.

No review can truly do it justice.

Tough to get into cus of the offbeat feeling movement system, but despite that base game+the downpour DLC are probably the best I've ever played.
No other game except for maybe NieR:Automata to some degree had me that engrossed in what was happening around me.

THE GAME'S GREAT BUT I CAN'T RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE BUT THE KIND OF PEOPLE THAT LIKE WHEN IT HURTS

Polymorphine and everything related are a terribly f*ucking cruel game design.

---upd.
Honestly I love the game but can't recommend it to your average user since it has way to much "personality" from them to deal with. This game will f*uck you up in the ways you never even imagined possible when you think you can deal with literally anything.
It changed the way I view my my character's life's value in the same way dark souls did once before - I thought I didn't care and Noita taught me I was wrong.

tldr - the game's both great and bad, since it has nearly infinite amount of spell combinations for you to tinker with and at the same time doesnt really care about your experience being smooth from the get go. If you learn, you learn. If you adapt, you adapt. Well, if not, then you go play minecraft or some sh*t

Spent more than 200 hours, barely scratched the surface of the game's mechanics
