The vanilla version of this game is unplayable due to the bugs and crashes. After the community patches, and some quality of life mods (I recommend 2 perks when leveling and no repair), the game is phenomenal. You will lose countless hours exploring the wasteland. But even with the patches, the crashing is ridiculous. You will enter a building, crash. Kill an enemy, crash. Level up, crash. The patches only make crash LESS, not make it stop. Quicksaves are your best friend in this game. Once you get past that, get ready for an unforgettable adventure that will keep you wanting more.

As a major fan of the original, I was super excited to play this remake and BOY was it better than I could have imagined. Every thing kept from the original was made better, and everything changed from the original still felt true to the spirit of the original. The castle was completely redone, which was awesome. The lab section was also redone, making it a lot dirtier and more anxious than the original. Ashley's character was by far the largest improvement in my opinion. She went from annoying in the original, to being a lovable sexy badass in this one. She starts off as timid and traumatized, and slowly grows into a strong and confident woman throughout the course of the game. There is still some cheesy dialogue and Leon is still Mr. Action-Hero-Man. There's so much to be talked about in this game, but if you're still reading this (for some reason), stop and play this game.

I've played this game off and on over the years. It's amazing how innovative, content-rich, and freeing this game is. Even without any mods, just the base game is incredibly fun and addicting (you just have to mess with the controls, turn on mouse aim, and turn on fullscreen). This is one of the few games where you can truly live out your fantasy dreams and not have to be restricted to what the game developer wants you to do. Especially in the way you create your character. This simply has one of the best character creators in any game... ever. The amount of choices you have is simply amazing. You can make any character you dream of, and you have the choice of tweaking every setting to your liking or having the game decide for you based on a series of questions. I wish the subsequent Elder Scroll's titles didn't slowly move away from this level of freedom as it makes you more connected to your character... it's just more fun this way.

However the game isn't perfect (as a game of this type from 1996 is prone to be). Even though there are truly an endless amount of cities and places to visit, they all look sort of samey and blend together pretty quick. However easily the biggest problem with the game are the dungeons and the dungeon map especially. I have never played a game with more a confusing dungeon layout than Daggerfall, and the confusing layout of the 3D map only serves to get me more lost at times (although having a full 3D map in a game this old is impressive). Saving at the entrance and finding ways to track where you've been is a MUST in these dungeons. I find it's helpful to use the open spaces as check points as well as leaving doors open. Another strategy I employ is finding my way to the very top of the dungeons ASAP and working my way down. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but I find it helps make a little bit of sense of things.

There are many other flaws with the *base game* but even still, this is an addicting and fun RPG which still holds up today in a lot of ways. If nothing else convinces you to give this game a shot... it's free, and all the community fixes are free (playing this game in Unity is incredible)... you have nothing to lose by giving Daggerfall a try!

I generally find mission style FPS games like Payday 2, Left 4 Dead 2, etc. to get pretty stale after a while. Not with DRG. This game never gets old. I'm the type of person to rarely drop a ton of hours in a game, I have no problem dumping dozens of hours into DRG. Multiplayer games are usually toxic, filled with try-hards, gatekeepers, and generally ahole players. Every single player I came across in DRG has been awesome. The progression in this game is simple, yet rewarding. The missions, all 7 currently in the game, are all so much fun. The levels are diverse, I never felt like I was playing the same one over again. The gunplay is simple, yet incredibly satisfying and fun. The overall presentation was built from the ground up to be tongue-and-cheek and just... fun.

Overall, it's okay I guess.

Huge fan of Resident Evil 4, but this one is better in my opinion. Excellent survival horror.

I think this game is fantastic and is growing well. Great combat, great gameplay, rewards skill and playing dirty, great characters, but I have some problems.

First of all, I find the buisness model disgusting. $10.00 per character?? And with in game credits it takes 30,000- 50,000 credits to unlock each one (which is like 12-15 hours per character). And each character isn't even customizable, like in Rainbow Six: Siege. You have to unlock cards to get different weapons and buffs for your character (however dispite this, the game remains fairly balanced).

Second of all, get out of beta wtf are you doing. People have poured thousands of hours into this game, you can't say this game is in "Open Beta", it's practically done ya hacks.

All in all I give this game a Nuclear Pancake/10 (Proxy is great)

Civ V is one of the most fun and addicting games I've ever played. If you're a fan of turn-based Expand Explore Exploit and Exterminate type of games, then this is for you.
