Intalled the game, it worked fine. Came back the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ day and it refuses to even open. I'm now reinstalling to see if that helps. I have less than an hour playtime. I will refund the game if it doesn't work within the hour.

This is why I hate PC gaming. You change literally nothing and the game will just decide to just stop working. What a load of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥!

Early Access Review
While the game has a fun premise, the late game has no balance, the same issues keep coming up over and over (seriously, how many times do I need to hear about the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gay bakery) and it doesn't seem to matter which way you rule. I've been asked to outlaw child labour at least 3 times in my latest save game.

As for the issues. This game has clearly got a social justice and left wing bias, as the policy promises you can make are extremely one-sided. There's never the option to promise to increase defence spending, tackle the national deficit, or reduce immigration for example; the kind of things a right wing party might promise. But there will be plenty of promises for things left wing parties may want.

The portrayal of "conservatives" in this game is frankly offensive with it being used interchangeably with "fascist", and the "liberals" are not liberals at all as they will oppose free speech policies if the policy isn't woke enough. Seriously, since when did conservatives absolutely love the idea of banning women drivers? No, conservative doesn't mean comic reductionist idea of Saudi Arabia.

If you try and play this game like a libertarian for example, you'll find the game doesn't really account for this play style, but that won't stop you breaking the game balance over your knee with ease. Winning every election with 99% of the vote and creating the neo-capitalist libertarian utopia Ayn Rand would have wanted, if you really want to that is. I suspect it's just as easy to replicate other extremes too.

Ultimately, it's a decent idea; but it's not well executed and held my attention for only a couple of days until I realised how easily I could break it. If only real politics was this easy.

Controls aren't clear, aim of the game isn't clear, the entire time playing I was just constantly asking myself, "why won't they harvest the damn crops", "why won't they build the thing", "why is everyone ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ starving again when there's food outside rotting! I told them to cook meals but they're not doing it!".

It's not fun, it's janky and every action feels like you're trying to get an uncooperative mod in The Sims 3 to work. That's not my idea of a good game.
