While the story felt a little light compared to previous games, the gameplay it's self felt very "the same" but also refreshed. While it took a little getting used to the jumping mechanic, it was kind of nice to have more mechanics in addition to things overall feeling similar to how they used to. New weapons and or modified versions of old weapons were very cool. I enjoyed unlocking more slots and mods and feeling more powerful as the game progressed. The 'open world' feel even though the game was still linear was also interesting. I like the sidequests and how the campaign it's self sets you up for the revamped "horde mode." That said I do miss the old school style where you'd purchase and build between waves. Hope they bring that back someday as an alternative.

After having been one of the people to quit due to the bugs and problems with the character customization update, I was very hesitant to try the Willow rework update. That said, with a hopeful heart I gave it a chance and was hoping for honestly less than I got. I just wanted the game to feel playable again but instead it was actually FUN again... There's still some bugs (mostly cosmetic at this point) like items vibrating in/out of existence or falling through the floor (make sure you set equipment on tables if playing with friends to try and avoid losing items) and animations being a little bit awkward still- but it's way way way better than it was and the other fixes/changes (like the better lightning) make that game MUCH better and worthy of another chance.

If you're reading this wondering if you should come back, do it. Give the game another chance. Hopefully they keep going down this path and don't make me regret being hopeful xD

I don't want this to be long or get too wordy cause I want to make sure I'm within steam rules, so just going to bullet point basically.
- Devs never knew what they wanted this game to be
- Devs made decisions for the game the community didn't like, which community spoke about
- Devs didn't listen and usually were rude about constructive criticism
- 1.0 came out and reviews tanked
- That stream and updates after basically gave us 'house rules' as well as returned features to make up for previous bits
- Devs were pretty rude even in the situation of "making up for it"
- Now devs are treating JaWoodle like crap over a situation that definitely didn't need legal action but could have been talked over.

I'm sorry things accidently got leaked, but that is so much smaller of a problem than it is to ruin your already bad reputation by doing this to a beloved creator who has done SO MUCH good for your game. You do realize how many people bought this game because of him right? How many people give the game another try because of his videos whether it's to play a different way or test things he's done or because of new features he's showcased or many many other reasons... People coming back means people potentially buying the DLC cosmetics. People coming back means talking their friends into trying game and them also buying it... All domino effects of a content creator showcasing your game.

Treating players like they are stupid and showing no care about your creators/community is very poor taste.

Love this game! The crafting aspect isn't really much of the game, but it is a bit farmy in the sense of getting resources to take with you on expeditions when you try to 100% a map or so. The entities are scarry but I like that there are (usually) ways to fight back- but even then sometimes you're still going to die. With little information online, really recommend checking Woof It's guide on the steam guides section for the game if you get lost or have questions how certain maps work. But if you like backrooms / exploration / escaping map type games, give this a try! :D

I've only played this game for a single session, but after finding out about it from a gameplay video I immediately bought it for myself and 2 friends- and after playing bought it for 2 more. (Commission please? ;P) It's obviously a similar concept to another popular game, but way different in execution. The juggling risk/reward of going deeper and deeper to get as much loot as possible vs. playing it safe and returning to the train early and the items you can buy to cut wires / smash doors... Very unique gameplay features, feels pretty polished as well. The monsters seem a little unfair at times but that makes it terrifying. Game is very fun, definitely recommend for friend game nights! ;)

Edit: A little over a year into this game now, this is one in my main rotation with friends... it's a hidden gem and it's a shame it didn't get anywhere near as attention as it deserved. Today the final big update is coming out... Very excited but very sad, because I feel it could have been so much more if the game had life behind it :(

I've played this quite a bit in closed beta and have become slightly addicted. It's very fun to play with the people in chat, helping each other with heals, revives, strategies on which enemy to kill first, etc. I feel like it's a good way to break the ice and have something in common to be able to be more social in a stream as well. I'm usually shy but I find myself wanting to help explain how the game works just because it's so fun to watch this game grow and expand. Looking forward to every future addition this game gets! I don't stream, but I will definitely buy it when it goes live to show my support. <3 to entire FalFan team!
