Yeah, I highly recommend Ready or Not, as a person who never believed in the game ever since it got announced a couple of years ago until earlier this week, I thought the game was going to be a failure, I got it, played it for 3 hours straight and I enjoyed every second of it, yes it lacks the cosmetics, important features and what not, but! from what I understood the game got overhauled in the middle of production as if they basically started from zero, so it's still in alpha.

I am yet to figure out if VOID interactive actually listens to the community on this one, I heard from a friend who is an Alpha supporter that they very much do so that's actually a bonus to the community, they pretty much can make the game the right way.

The core of the point, yes, it is worth buying it now, it has lots of features, a fair amount of missions and missions type selection that is enough for the next big update, I highly recommend playing it with friends ( one is enough, more than that you will just be laughing your thru out the playing session ), yes it kind of lack features, weapons and have some bugs here and there, but for a game that just got launched, this is a really good start, I trust the devs that by Q2 of 2022 the game should have lots of content and bugs fixes.

I will come back to this comment in july 2022, I am not worried but still hopefully by then the game should be more, have more.

This game is actually good, this is the first Total War game that I really invest time and effort in it and it's worth every hour spent on, really punishing for people who isn't careful of what they are doing, and really awarding for the people that invest in relationships and deplomacy and at the same time investing in their own territories and military.

My tip would be building as much allies from afar including Military Access and alliances, Trades too since they are really important and you would see that in the winter especially. and most importantly investing in your military power including Sea units for trade and for protecting your trade routes.

As a starter I would personally invest in my own turf in everything, Powerful units ground units, producing them, under multiple generals, putting them anywhere inside my region, and then invest in secondary armies under rookie/average generals for defending my region and for backup just in case, and then I start my campaign accordingly to where my enemies are, every time I capture and seize a region, I invest in it and build Seaports and produce an army to protect it, and so on and so on.

As I said above one of the most important is to have good diplomacy and strong allies, you don't need a number, the Quality over Quantity rule in this situation is golden, I personally would prefer having them far away from my campaign, I don't want to have turfs and regions surronding my allies because that wouldn't be good in case I get backstabbed or if some members of my armies decided to revolt.

Having said that, you are not going to achieve that and won't gain any trust without having a good relationship, so make sure you don't do ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to people you make agreements with, and whenever you capture regions, try to occupy it in peace, that adds up so much to your reputation and the people and farmers in your newly occupied region will actually fully support you instead of turning against you later on in your campaign.

Trades are one of the most important thing, My trade strategy is mainly to make money not to bring supplies or food, My food/Supplies production is local, that way if the trading route gets raided or blocked, or the clan that I am trading with suddenly turned against me, I won't starve my army and eventually my people out, money can be gained later on when you become stronger it will open up as you progress.

Tax income for me isn't that important, it's little gain for a painful relationship with the people you are ruling and they will turn against you if you don't protect them and treat them well, so I have it as low as possible when it comes to taxing them with money.

Agents/Ninjas are really good for sabotaging the enemy and fighting them indirectly, monks, Ninjas and others agents are really important, you can distablize a full army by killing their general, sabotage their buildings and farms, and turn their people against them with a really small amount of ninjas and monks, while you are still at your on turf far away at the other side of the island, use them wisely it will pay off really well.

Last thing, your enemy will progress and attack you while you can't see it, and while you are not prepared for it, it could be by sea, by agents or a fully equipped army coming out of an unknown region and start ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on you left and right, you could avoid that by attacking your enemies trading routes, especially in the winter, and by sabotaging their stuff as I said with agents, the enemy will not dare to progress forward when the situation in their turf is against them, so use that to your advantage.

This is the knowledge that I gained from the 60 hours of gameplay, I probably will update this.
