Cramped Space Kill Friends Fun Time

Great and unique game that is NOT Pokemon.It is difficult to not draw comparisons to a game that is established in a genera, but Palworld has it's own Identity. I hope that the Pokemon company is taking notes, because the 'Monster Catching' genera just took a big step forward.

If the Pokemon company wasn't creatively bankrupt, here are some things they could learn from...


Open world catching infinitely more fun than Legends Arceus. I feel INVOLVED in the capture process. Palworld has a great core game play loop.

Monster utilization in community building actually exists in Palworld (specialized skills for base development). Every creature I catch in a Pokemon game would sit in a box if it isn't strong in a traditional and one dimensional sense. Here the Pals build a sense of community, and have utility to a player.

Movement doesn't feel like an after thought like it did in Legends Arceus. Switching from sliding to grapple to glider is very fleshed out and feels like it was made with love. In Legends Arceus I felt like a slow boxy loser with a dedicated roll button and a few Pokemon that were the ENTIRETY of the movement.

Building. Come on. Creative freedom for housing goes a LONG way to endear a player to a world and Pal world has what you need. Where did base building go in Pokemon? when was the last time you went to your room in the most recent Pokemon game?

Combat reveals your motivation in monster catching games. Someone is targeting my Pal and not me? pull that little gentleman back into the ball. I didn't want my little guy taking the damage. Why did I care about these pixels more than Pokemon pixels? I feel IN THE WORLD WITH these Pals. Pokemon just serve a purpose to fight for my victory and amusement, but these Pals fight WITH you, and not FOR you.



Some people have said that this game is a Pokemon ripoff, and those people are wrong. The only similarity to Pokemon ( a world with an economy entirely centered around legal dog fighting) is that there is a somewhat bleak existence for the monsters in the world.

Palworld is the game that the Monster Capture genera needed. Great Game, Good Job.
