I'm doing my part!

for real, this game is so much fun. as a helldivers 1 player, this second instalment is essentially a remake of the first, switching the genre from top-down stick shooter to an fps, with awesome graphics added on. if theres not enough reviews for this game to convince you to buy into freedom and democracy, check out reviews for the first game.
despite the many similarities and not so many differences between helldivers 1 and 2, i really do recommend you buy 2 as your first experience, as the shooter genre is more modern along with the graphics

if you see a pair of eyes in the dark hallway, DO NOT have a staring contest with it. Worst mistake of my life!

you want me to buy the battlepass premium for $15, roughly $14 for the new heroes i didnt unlock through buying the battlepass, $10 or more for a skin for a single hero, and $25 for three pve missions? is the $25 actually for just 3 missions?? its not clear at all, i was promised like 20, and all heros being playable on the pve missions. i'd pay $25 for that, not for what we have now.

sure i could spend 100 hours trying to win matches to unlock heroes that will help me better synergize with my team to further win more matches, but new overwatch players will be locked out of half the roster and will be screamed at for not being able to pick a meta hero or a hero that does better with the rest of the team, because the entire playerbase and game is focused on winning (more xp, completing challenges/dailies) to earn things, take for example, unlocking all heros requires that you win, now imagine you go up against people who already have every hero and can counter all your heros and you cant do anything, because this is a glorified rock paper scissors game and you dont have enough hands.
NOW imagine the people being conned into paying money to unlock these heros because of this scummy practice.

i have 409 hours playing this game, ive played 2,965 matches, and i am absolutely disappointed at how far overwatch has fallen. every corner of overwatch 2 can only be viewed if you first hand blizzard your wallet.

also, nothing of significance makes this a sequel, it is just a bastardised overwatch 1, two less players in matches, thats the only difference that hasnt already happened in the first overwatch. hell, even the story missions were already a thing, called archives.

Early Access Review

Mod are carrying the game. Like I dont know why they havent implemented any mods into the game, they bring so much to the game, however each update will break mods. Otherwise, as of writing, its Warband but with much better graphics, larger battlefields, larger strategic map, more in-depth sieges... More or less an upgrade.
Bugs dont actually cause many gameplay issues, except for the player army as the attacker in a siege not using siege equipment effectively which is a bug at least 2 years old and and an annoying at that.

As TaleWorlds Entertainment has put it in the why early access, the price does NOT have a plan to be changed, meaning the full game will be having more content with the same price tag. You're not missing out on an entertainment investment buying this in EA.

STOP BREAKING MODS WITH EVERY UPDATE THAT FIXES SPECIFIC AND NICHE CRASHES AND BUGS!! YOU ARE DESTROYING THE ONLY GOOD THING THAT HAS HAPPENED TO THE MOUNT AND BLADE FRANCHISE! DO MONTHLY OR BI-MONTHLY UPDATES! YOU ARE OUT OF EARLY ACCESS SO WE ARENT EXPECTING ANY MORE TO BE ADDED TO THE GAME, SO LET MODDERS TAKE A DAMN BREATHER.

Oh yeah and circle formation still does not work as intended, your troops will all face the same direction, allowing cavalry (THE ONE JOB THIS FORMATION HAD WAS TO COUNTER CAV) to stab everyone in the back.
Siege towers and laddders now work as intended... 95% of the time.

Oh and partial voice acting, cutscenes, and banners are now here.. pathetic 1.0 update that was. sure multiplayer stuff happened, but who plays unmodded multiplayer?

Rimworld will always have fresh gameplay elements due to the tons of mods that are published, ranging from warhammer themed (both fantasy and 40k), Joris themes, assorted realism mods like bathrooms, ect.
Along with the mods, the developers are still updating the base game and the dlcs, with rimworld nearing version 2.0. Many quality of life changes have found their way into the game from both devs and modders.

Base game rimworld is still enjoyable without the dlcs. in fact, seasoned players will still create new save games to play on base game, with and without mods of course.

However if you do decide to get the dlcs, many players find Ideology, the newest dlc, the better one out of the two.
Royalty adds a new faction called "The Fallen Empire", an advanced civilisation that spans the galaxy, but is fractured and a husk of its former status and authority. More so, Physic powers only the player colony can use in battle (unless you get a mod that allows the enemies to use them) with there being around 16 physic powers going from battle oriented to labour oriented powers, and a some with a bit of both.

Ideology throws religions into the mix of chaos that is rimworld, with every single pawn having an ideologies with effects and affects of gameplay. Ideologies can allow cannibalism with no negative mood debuffs, or despise ranged weaponry and adore melee weaponry, for those following. There's dozens of such choices when creating an ideology that can drastically change how the game will have to be played. Other non-playable factions will have their own beliefs that they can exert on to your colony by visiting, and you can exert your beliefs on either visitors, or prisoners.
