Fun if you already know a lot of this stuff. I wouldn't want to learn about most of this for the first time here though. If you don't know any of this stuff but still want to dive in, I'd recommend picking up the book Elements of Computing Systems or check out the (I think free) online Nand2Tetris course (the website is the companion to that book).

Don't get attached to the BT detecting baby strapped to your chest because you need to remember it is just equipment... Not like any game I've played before. Also I'm not very far in, but it's great so far.

The multiplayer has been pretty fun so far. The new breach mechanic is interesting. I have only played the Afrikakorp faction so far and they have a pretty complicated tech tree. They have some cool mechanics though such as all their infantry can do some repairs. This seems to be a really nice iteration on a great formula. I really liked coh1 and 2.

The single player campaign is interesting since it has a total war style campaign map, but for me it is not the reason to get the game. Company of Heroes is a great franchise if you want to play RTS games, but want them to be more like a chess game than a click fest.
