Good graphics, great soundtrack, good recalls to the original story - even though it's mostly a very different game. Playing on normal is good if you only want to follow the story or if you're not too familiar with action games, which makes this game very accessible to all skill levels. The harder difficulty does bring a challenge during boss fights and the combat becomes very enjoyable if you are used to playing action JRPGs.

Very surprising for an EA game, good story driven adventure game. Approachable for casual gamers on lower difficulties and can be very punishing on the hardest difficulty. It feel very much like dark souls meets tomb raider with a coat of star wars paint on it.

Very good remaster, the graphics look decent even on a 4k screen. The ps3 version didn't exactly age well but this made it playable again. Framerates are rock-solid on a regular 1080 everything at high with v-sync. I haven't had any audio sync issues or stutter during gameplay at all. The new zodiac job system makes it so you can't abuse the game mechanics as much as in the original and it makes the game more interesting imo. I wish there was a way to change the point of view of the camera to be a little further, but it's the only drawback for me. The "turbo" mode makes grinding more enjoyable and the new ultimate weapons and challenges bring something fresh to the experience. FFXII was solid and very fun when it originally came out, this PC port just makes it better.
