a: CS2’s market has been volatile recently: one current market tracker shows knives down about 2.8% over the past 35 days, while another shows the broader skin market broadly falling over the last week.

There was also a major crash in October 2025 after Valve changed trade-up contracts to allow five Covert skins to produce a knife or gloves, which caused a very large repricing.

That said, nobody can reliably predict that another crash is coming soon. A future Valve update could cause another sudden move, but it could also stabilize or rise.
