DFHack is an essential tool that smooths DF's very rough edges and adds a great deal of functionality. The dev team are amazing - put any suggestions and report any bugs on github and you'll see that for yourself.

Cured my alcoholism... so engrossed playing I forgot to drink. Dwarves stopped responding to my orders. Turned back to the drink. Everything went back to normal. 10/10.

Raiders dropped in through a weak spot in the roof of my mountain base. They set all my stuff on fire and cooked all of my colonists. 10/10 would play again.

Hell of a lot of fun, but haven't beaten it yet... the boss level is exponentially harder than everything before it.

I was reading the reddit the other day and someone mentioned marrying your children. I thought I was depraved for having my children marry each other, but I'd never considered taking one as my own bride or concubine. Silly me.
