Playing this the first time, I had high hopes. If you're anything like me, jumpscares are like a fine wine. You have them over time. Sadly the buildup, I was impressed with was shrouded by jumpscares, and unnecessary gore effects. That one chair, was a wonderful example at a jumpscare when I didnt see it coming, but it just started to simmer. Rose again with the woman, but ultimately felt too drawn out. Like I can appreciate it if I was waiting in line for a carnival ride with jumpscares, but I hoped this games story would be told through the scares, not just 5 jumpscares, one big scare, and then I pick up an item that tells me what happened. It could've easily been told through the creepy aura this game had for it.

NOW, I haven't thrown this game out completely. Being curious as to what else this game has in store, from horror to story telling. I can't dismiss the game until I've finished all I can. So for now, I will recommened because of potential but we'll see soon enough. Regardless, I'm a huge fan of horror, and in general I want to see how far the horror genre in games can push itself.
