It's deeply disappointing to see the direction the developers have decided to pursue. This game was originally designed to portray the grim, dark realities of what it may be like to be SWAT. That raw, uncompromising vision was exactly what made the game stand out and gave it such a loyal following; you couldn't find another product like this anywhere before.

It's crazy they would fundamentally change the game just to appease and release to consoles; especially in the past when they kept a hard stance against censorship when ridiculed about the graphic content. This was not an arcade game, the devs took themselves seriously; now with shareholders having them on leash don't be so surprised if we get a Siege clone in the next five years.

Unfortunately I can no longer recommend this product to anyone; unless of course this heinous decision is reverted. Again not only are the developers fundamentally altering a product that people have bought previously; there's the utter disrespect towards the community that have continually supported them. Instead of considering avenues that WOULD allow for both a PC and console version to exist (like minecraft like rust) they told us suck it up.

Update:
While I still maintain my disposition towards not recommending this game to other players because of the devs decisions. They have come forward with transparency as to why they won’t be making two instances of the game for their respective platforms; and it is understandable. They have also stated that while they won’t be rolling back the censorship they won’t be impede mod developers who may or may not reintroduce pre-censorship mods.

Despite this I still believe that their decision on censorship completely destroys the devs values, the product’s vision and ultimately the promise they gave to the players who decided to support them from the beginning.
