After finishing Act II, I can just say that this game has a phenomenal story that you follow. Of course you have the satisfying privilege of cleaning, straightening up, throwing stuff around all willy-nilly, but when you go along the story it really speaks to you. Kovalsky is so much more than a janitor in the beginning, he is a devoted father trying his hardest to take care of his little girl's medical needs after his wife's passing. You see the first state of his apartment in the beginning, the mess, the lack of care to himself and the pile of bills as it shows the weight on his shoulders. He never asked to be thrown into the crime ring, but stumbled into it and tried his hardest to make it through so Elena could have the care she needed. Over time as he does more missions, his environment changes along with it. Less bills, less mess, buying new things for Elena's room once she's able to return from receiving care. Even the story between Big Jim and Amber was amazing to listen to as you went through it all. Then the addition of Nightmare Mode has also been one of my favorite parts. The psychological torment that one has to endure from seeing the horrors of society and how it can twist the psyche has been AMAZING to see how the developers twisted the original story for each mission. I really can't recommend this game enough, so long as you like the satisfaction of cleaning, but also an amazing story that you can enjoy at your own pace.
