Great mechanics, pretty bad shell physics with volumetric, and terrible economy.

The gameplay can be awesome, tank controls feel tight, and are modelled very well, but this game has always had a grind, and now the juice ain't worth the squeeze. Every tank destoryed costs Silver Lions to repair, and the new changes make it so you have to be a god at this game to make enough money to not have to play 100 games in a row just to afford the next vehicle.

Now the only way to feel like you're making progress is to shell out the price of a normal AAA game just to buy a decent premium which gives you bonus Silver Lions (on the order of +300%) so you are forced to pay or suffer.

This is on top of how unbalanced this game can be, devs routinely make Russian tanks overpowered compared to other nations whether by outright manipulation of tank models and performance, or just not improving other tanks to a level playing field. There are undeniably huge balance issues with Battle Rating brackets too, where two tanks of vastly different capabilities are routinely forced to compete with each other, which the devs refuse to fix despite this being pointed out for a long time.

Also every update with this game is 1 step forwards, 3 steps back now. It's obvious that the testing is subpar, and this is coming from a experienced software developer, it is just amazing the things that slip through every update. One update completely broke shell penetration for a whole class of shell,
another update introduced volumetric shell calculations, which while it attempts to be realistic, completely breaks gameplay when your shell just vanishes for no reason doing no damage.

But man, this game used to be at least fun to play sometimes. but now you can't even afford to buy and crew a new tank (Oh yeah, did I mention once you unlock a tank, which takes forever to research, you have to buy it, and then pay to crew it? Also you still have to do it even it is the same tank just a different cannon....)

Would no longer recommend to anyone not willing to pay $300 at least to have fun.
