Into horror and puzzle games, but really I’m into -- *Crash* W-what the- *loud stomping gets closer* oh. oh no.

I like to repair old stuff.

I AM STRAIGHT EDGE, DO NOT TALK ABOUT DRUGS OR ALCOHOL TO ME EVER OR I WILL BE VERY ANGRY AND YOU DO NOT WANT ME ANGRY AT YOU!!! I AM HACKER. :DOOM_Revenant:
The Obligatory Rick Roll Box
We're no strangers to love
You know the rules and so do I
A full commitment's what I'm thinking of
You wouldn't get this from any other guy
I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand
Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
We've known each other for so long
Your heart's been aching but
You're too shy to say it
Inside we both know what's been going on
We know the game, and we're gonna play it
And if you ask me how I'm feeling
Don't tell me you're too blind to see
Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
Never gonna give, never gonna give
(Give you up)
(Ooh, ooh)
Never gonna give, never gonna give
(Give you up)
I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand
Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you

SILENT HILL 2
20 Hours played
Perfect.

Bloober did a FANTASTIC job with this remake. I wouldn't say I had my doubt, but I'm also someone who enjoyed The Medium from start to finish, so I was definitely more hopeful than some.
It takes the original idea of SH2 and adds a new way to play, with more accessibility features. You are also given the option to turn all it off- the UI in it's entirety can be removed. That's what I've done with my play through, and it's been a hard, gruesome, experience.

I will say, it has been a struggle since some things required specific keys to be pressed, and the way I am playing the game it doesn't tell you what button to press, so I have toggled the UI before just to know what buttons I need to press.
Other than some expected Advanced Access bugs (mainly rare artifacting) I have had no issue playing AND streaming this game on high settings. It seems like this may not be the case for everyone, so that's just how it has been on my 4080 and AM5 build.

The story has been moved over well and had some parts added in that add more depth to the universe, clarify some things, and made me think on the story even more. Mainly there being references to Silent Hill 3 and a name drop of a character from Silent Hill 4 ( Walter Sullivan ). Seeing them mentioned finally ties SH2 into a better timeline of when it takes place. We even know what state it's in now from VERY small details around the map (try looking at some of the newspaper boxes).

Overall, this is NOT a replacement from the original. It is so vastly different. But it's a great way to get people started on Silent Hill, or even just playing this game by itself and being done with it. I'm so happy with the end result, and once bugs are fixed it'll be a 100% true horror immersion experience.

Thank you, Bloober. Love this game.
