A particularly good Hidden Object/Adventure game - this one hits a happy balance of unfolding story, wandering exploration, and doors locked with baroque mechanisms all missing pieces which are hidden in unlikely places. Dorian Gray gives us an entertaining villain, always a few steps ahead of our plucky hero and gloating at us with voluble, literate glee. Oscar, the demented masked mastermind, is unusually coherent and interesting for the genre.

The Hidden Object scenes are nicely thematic - you won't be finding hamburgers in the toolshed, for the most part - and if the whole game is on the simple side, it keeps things busy enough to fill a few hours with solid play. The puzzles are supple, the art is terrific, and the voice acting is very very good. I was pleased with the detail in the art and with the whole experience. Expect 6 or 7 hours of not-zipping-through gameplay - I left the game window open while I was afk a couple of times, thus my time stat. I enjoyed this more than the Lonely Hearts Murders sequel.
