Pretty fun game! The crossplay co-op matchmaking was kind of rough sometimes i.e. more often than not we'd fail to be able to start a game after my buddy typed in the lobby code, but when the game works it's great. Very cool and creepy atmosphere. Game crashed sometimes (on 12GB VRAM!). So some technical issues aside it's pretty great and fun with a partner or friend. Also it's ~5 hours for a playthrough.

Apparently the only way for me to actually play this beta would be to purchase a new discrete 13-pin TPM module and install it in my PC, because even though I updated my bios and enabled secure boot, that's apparently not enough to play multiplayer for this game. I'm not doing that, and I don't think that's unreasonable, so I do not recommend this game.

Pretty good. It wears the Sonic inspiration on its sleeve. Camera is a bit jank at times, otherwise game is pretty fun.

Super fun and a generous demo. I'm still not finished, but it's a fun sokoban-type puzzler and the devs are smart to be porting this game to mobile as well.

Loving this demo so far. Plays, looks, and sounds great. Feels like the next Celeste and yet, the novel frog-grappling mechanics help it stand out from the crowd, really fun to control! W devs. Demo def got me excited for the full game release.

The overwhelmingly positive response to this goes to show you that there's a lot people miss about this game that CS2 isn't offering and so it's understandable that people were disappointed when CS2 replaced it entirely. Playing this offline today, while the game doesn't look as good as I remember (nostalgia goggles will do that), I felt like the food critic in Ratatouille taking that bite that transports him back to his childhood (with parents' consent as this game is rated M of course lol).

Personally, I miss maps like Monastery, Lake, St Marc, Lunacy, Aztec, Cobblestone, Safehouse, Cache (with the s1mple graffiti), Canals, Castle, Bank, Dust, Assault, Sugarcane, and Insertion. I know some of these are community maps, some of which are already on the CS2 workshop, but there's a big difference between picking a workshop map to play from a community server vs. just being able to play a map in the game. I also miss the Flying Scoutsman game mode.

While I commend Valve for not resorting to linux-unfriendly kernel anticheat in CS2, and VAC live had a tough start but has been steadily improving, players still miss the community-driven overwatch system.

I also hope/think Valve is working on improving the game feel of CS2 to be more like CS:GO/less "floaty" as it was on launch.

I commend Valve trying to do something different with sub-tick in CS2, but I also think they should be taking into consideration why so many players miss the option to host 128-tick community servers like they could in CS:GO.

All-in-all, Valve has a lot to learn from why this game was successful and why taking it out of rotation for CS2 as a surprise was a bad move. Hopefully they can move the CSGO reviews from the CS2 page over to this, maybe even move our CSGO hours played back to this and give us back our CSGO achievements, in the interest of transparency for both games. Hopefully Valve can recapture the magic of what made this game great and work it into CS2.

Super fun, full of charm, love the music, and very fun to 100%. Short and sweet.
