It is complicated because I am a hardcore fan since the first one.
But 7 and 8 are the ones I like the least by far.

It is subjective, I have no affect for new characters, except Seonhee which is the most charismatic.

Also it is becoming obvious it is complicated to write dark yakuza stories today, due to current societal changes that are used as pillar of the narration. And it is too much oriented comical, to the point where sometimes you don't have difference between main scenario and funny substories.
I find they have much more freedom with Judgment for story telling closer to the previous games, serious and dramatic and up to some gore.

And I am not a fan of the combat system, it is a good idea to use real life jobs and imagine weapons and attacks with those, but that's it.
From the beginning I wish it had approach to FF7 Remake, it would have been awesome in this universe and all those cool attacks, instead of super classic turn based.
