There's something indescribably magical about this game. It's a bit janky, but the world is so gorgeous & ethereal. If you're the kind of person who loves to lose yourself in the world of a game, you'll adore Dark Souls 1. The only major complaint I have is that there's a sharp decline in quality in the final third of the game, but the rest of it is so good it's still worth playing.

A stunningly beautiful game that's also ridiculously large. Silksong has incredible feeling movement, which extends to combat feeling so much more fluid & dynamic than in the first game. Unfortunately, boss runbacks can be a bit excessive at times (although not the Last Judge, the runback is fine, git gud) particularly with some mandatory preceding combat gauntlents, namely for a certain boss in a certain area (Groal the Great) & two extremely late-game bosses (Crust king Khann & Skarrsinger Karmelita).
The game just keeps going, & even when you think you're near the end there're still so many things left to do. Christopher Larkin's brilliant soundtrack brings the world to life, even making some incredibly frustrating areas (IYKYK) bearable.

Highlights:
- Visuals
- Narrative
- Combat (mostly)
- Music
- Amount of postgame content

Criticisms:
- No Godhome (as of release)
- A decent amount of enemies & bosses have poorly telegraphed movement attacks
- A certain boss in a certain area
- Insufficient rewards for rescuing fleas & defeating bosses

It would be a great game if it didn't crash at least 3 times per hour. It's manageable if you remember to quicksave every 5 or so minutes, but I wouldn't reccomend buying this until they fix the constant crashing (if ever)

I absolutely love this game. I've played Terraria for over 6 years on different platforms and I don't regret a single hour! Hard to get into at first, but once you understand what you're doing, you will never stop playing.
