The Empowered Learning Programme has given every school pupil from P6 to S6 their own digital device as part of our ambitious and inclusive education strategy, Edinburgh Learns.

The 1:1 roll-out started in December 2021 and was completed in December 2022 thanks to a £17.6m boost to learning and teaching. In addition to personal distribution, iPads have been issued to P1 to P5 groups on an agreed ratio basis with each school.
