Perfect game to play if you're needing a little pick me up. Just go in with some grounded expectations. It's all message - no gameplay

Red Dead Redemption largely remains a really impressive open world game today with a lot of personality. While It's sequel outshines it in many ways from graphics to it's scale one thing the original has over it is immediacy. It's to the point and isn't stuffed with fluff mechanics like eating or sleeping. While a lot of the was in service of making the sequel more immersive, I think in a lot of ways it degrades the experiences. Through this contrast I think even if you don't like one you may like the other.

Rambling aside, this is a must play. The quality is here all around.

Another one of those games so good that after playing it on Game Pass I went straight to buy it on Steam.

Denshattack is a game full of personality with clear inspiration from 2000s era arcade action. Come for the jpop/hip hop music and stay for the score crunching combo fueled gameplay. While you can compare it to Tony Hawk and the boost era Sonic games there's really nothing quite like it and with a budget price it's an absolute no brainer.

Runs smooth as butter even on the Steam Deck so there's no excuse not to get it. Absolute must play.

As a cheap "friendslop" game I didn't really come in with much expectations for the gameplay loop. I just expected a goofy fun time and I'll admit that's on me. But I'm sharing my opinion here for anyone that may come in with the same attitude.

My main gripe with the game is that a lot of the puzzles feel pretty spread out. I know the game is called "Big Walk" but I kind of took that to imply a grand adventure and less of as a central activity of the game. There's a lot of down time just getting place to place and I didn't feel like there was much there to keep that time feeling interesting. The 2-player experience also feel pretty inconvenient, only being able to carry four items max means there's real potential of having to do a lot of run backs. Especially during the night time when the game gets so dark that you can't reasonably navigate without a light source like a flash light.

I'm sure if I round together a couple other people the inventory concerns would be alleviated a bit. But putting that aside I just don't find the experience all that compelling. Having recently played Portal 2 I have a direct comparison for a co-op puzzle experience that I enjoy far more with much tighter pacing.

I wont say the game is bad, but I personally can't recommend it. But I see the vision.

Given the glowing reception in the steam reviews I was expecting some sort of rug pull and for it to turn out that this was more than it seemed on the surface. That's on me.

This is a cute and heart warming game about a dog trying to find it's pet owner in the after life and that's exactly what you're in for. No more, no less. If that sounds like a good time to you then I recommend. I saw mention of surprisingly dark material, but it's all contained to one character's story in the late game. Outside of that, I'd say the movie All Dogs go to Heaven is heavier than this game.

Im not going to be the jerk that gives the cute dog game a thumbs down, but I think you'll probably know if you like this game on premise alone. It's a good enough time, but it's nothing mind blowing.

Fun little chill game. I just wish it supported controller and my old save file were still there.

I just played through this on game pass and I loved it so much I had to buy it on Steam. It may be a heavily scripted "movie" game, but it fully takes advantage of all the strengths that provides in presentation in an unforgettable artistic experience. I can't remember the last time I've so consistently smiled playing a game. There's so much heart and charm.

Mixtape is a must play, it's so much better than I had anticipated.

Pragmata is the game people tell you Space Marine 2 is. It's got some really awesome enemies and bosses, a hacking mechanic that keeps you on your toes and a varied and fun set of guns to play with to go along with it all all wrapped in a story that, while predictable, still manages to tug on your heart strings with the foster father and daughter duo.

It's not ground breaking but everything is so well executed that I was eager to get home and play every day through to the roll of the credits.

Wow, what a game. I don't think I've ever played something where I felt so in tune with the struggle of the character physically and emotionally. Cairn perfectly conveys Aava as she struggles to reach the top of the unbeatable mountain, Kami. The premise might sound some what mundane but climbing walls is an almost puzzle like experience looking for cracks in walls and thinking about how best to contort your body to ascend while not pushing yourself too hard.

I really enjoyed learning and improving. The gameplay alone could carry the experience but learning about Aava and her struggles as they slowly unfold is really gripping as your journey pushes forward and I think many will find it relatable even if we aren't all world class mountain climbers.

Cairn takes a mechanic that feels really mundane in most games and fleshes it out into the full fledged experience that it's desperately needed. I can't recommend it enough.

I got this game after seeing it being promoted on the Ace Attorney reddit being pitched as inspired by said series. I can definitely see the influences and there is some of the underlying appeal of Ace Attorney in Detective Instinct but I think it's best to approach this game not with the exact same set of expectations.

For one thing, Detective Instinct is about as long as maybe a medium to long case in an Ace Attorney game. About five to six hours long. I don't really like to measure a game's worth in run time, but I think it is important to set expectation for the kind of scope you should expect.

I'd also say this game leans more on the visual novel genre than Ace Attorney does. You're going to be funneled through a more set script with very little room for doing or seeing anything outside the main story and there isn't a whole lot of gameplay outside of talking to characters.

None of this is bad. I just think it's important to understand what kind of experience you're in for and that experience was positive for me. The story told here was entertaining and heart touching. There are some fun and over the top personalities you'll encounter brought to life with a charming anime inspired art style back with catchy tracks that help set the tone and atmosphere. In these ways I can see those Ace Attorney inspirations and comparisons on display.

I'm not the most well versed in visual novels. Outside of Ace Attorney I've only played a few. But I had a good time and recommend this one. It didn't rock my world but once the credits rolled I had that familiar warm feeling I tend to have at the end of an Ace Attorney adventure
