The display system for items, furniture, and other interactive objects has been reworked in the background. The required checks are now handled centrally by a new manager system instead of being processed individually by each object.

There are no visual changes for players. However, this change provides cleaner and more efficient background processing while also creating a better foundation for further optimizations in the future.

Due to these changes affecting a number of game assets, the update has a download size of approximately 800 MB.

with this update, several bugs have once again been fixed and various improvements have been made. A bigger part of this update focuses on the traveling boats, whose system I have completely reworked.

For quite some time, the boats unfortunately did not work the way I originally intended. Finding the cause of some of these issues was sometimes like looking for a needle in a haystack. Problems kept occurring, for example, boats could suddenly accelerate unexpectedly, or getting on and off the boats did not work as smoothly as it should.

After thinking about it for a while, I decided to completely rework the existing system.

From now on, the boats are permanently traveling along their respective routes and stop at multiple locations. At each stop, a boat will wait for approximately 25 seconds before continuing its journey.

Multiplayer replication has also been improved. This should make the movement and journeys of the boats much more reliable and smoother for clients as well.

The following routes are currently available:

• Fishing Village: 3 stops

• Ruins: 4 stops

• Sulfur Area: 2 stops

This means the boats are no longer simply a way to travel from A to B. Instead, they are now a permanent part of the game world and independently travel between their different stops.

The system will continue to be expanded in the future. More boats are planned, including boats that will travel longer routes and may even take you all the way around the entire island.

The current travel times and speeds are also not final yet. Depending on how the new system feels during gameplay and based on your feedback, the boats may later be adjusted to travel slightly faster or slower, and additional stops may be added.

As always, I will continue working on bug fixes and improvements for KeepUp Survival.
