Ghost Recon Breakpoint gets a lot of criticism, but honestly, I've had a great time with it. If you enjoy tactical shooters, exploring a massive open world, and planning your own approach to missions, there's a lot to like here. One of the best things about the game is the freedom it gives you.The open world of Auroa is fun to explore, and there's plenty to do between the main missions, side missions, enemy bases, and collectibles. Customizing your weapons, gear, and character is another big part of the experience, letting you build a loadout that fits how you want to play. Playing solo is enjoyable, but co-op is where the game can really shine. Working with friends to clear bases, coordinate attacks, and complete missions makes the tactical gameplay even better.

An okay game, but this is a severe drop in a satisfaction when compared to Ghost Recon Wildlands. What's so bad about it?

Graphics
World graphics are lovely, character models ... not so much. GR Wildlands, which came out 2 years before (ignore those that say 6 years before, it was 6 years before it released on Steam, it was a UPlay/UbiConnect exclusive before that), was gorgeous in everything.

World
The world is SOO big yet SOOOO empty. I only bought the base game so maybe the DLC adds more areas you would visit. It could easily have been smaller, for filled with life and been a much better game.

Gear Score
A feature copied from the Division games, you can choose to bypass this and play Immersive Mode ... but it also locks you out of a few achievements. In my 44 hour playtime I managed to get up to about 185 Gear Score, after reaching 150 the progress slows to a crawl. I can't imagine trying for the 250 cap (without participating in Raids).

Story
I basically did everything in the base game of Wildlands, I was at 70 hours when I decided to finish and move on to Breakpoint. Despite all the Gear Score grind this game is much shorter, and the main reason for that is that the base game finishes abruptly, in order to complete the story you have to purchase the Year 1 Pass. But since I only bought the base game I can't say if the story actually concludes - Why make a Year 1 Pass if you didn't plan on a Year 2 Pass?

GR Breakpoint is such a failure over Wildlands, that in 2026, they actually released a small, FREE, DLC story for GR Wildlands, a 9 year old game that they stopped supporting years ago!

So what was actually good about the game?
... Well, I didn't really encounter any bugs and I think my game only crashed once.

This is the best game Ubisoft has ever made! You can adjust all the gameplay settings and the game's difficulty level.
But every time, something happens: BUGs
