miku in it

19 hours of complete mediocrity, this game is not fun, the mission structure is bland and boring, the development and deployment structure was made with no nuance in mind and the story is quite lackluster in its reveals and conclusions, at least compared to MGS4. The only thing I really enjoyed was the ending of chapter 4 with it's connections to MGS3. This game was most likely made as a prototype for MGSV, this is telling as everything that is lacking and basic within this game is extremely well done and more nuanced in V. I also don't know of any other game that locks its true ending behind tedious RNG mechanics and extremely lazy and repetitive repeat missions (outside of MGSV but at least V had the differing gameplay to change up the repeated missions). Perhaps this game was absolutely mind blowing on the PSP back in 2011 but even then people still held it somewhat in contempt and praised V for killing off or neutering most of PW's more annoying characters involvement in the plot. I can't be bothered melting my brain mindlessly doing side ops and repeating boss fights on the off chance that I get one piece of scrap to build something that will just be used against me at the end of the game, wish I played MGS4 last in the Vol.2 pack as this has left a bad taste in my mouth

It's great for preservation efforts, but the gameplay loop is far too old. The plot goes nowhere fast and most of the game is just rehashing a few maps. Late game there are 6 main missions in a row about doing the same thing, just in different maps.

The port runs fine tho.
