Stop me if you've heard this one:

So System Shock, Silent Hill, Deus Ex, and Doom Eternal walk into a bar...

Seriously...incredible. One of the best games I've played in a very long time.

I'll be honest: Divine Frequency is quite challenging. It demands a LOT from the player, it's far from linear, and its gameplay definitely isn't my cup of tea.

But there's something that makes this game special to me beyond the gameplay, something that I can appreciate on a much more personal level.

“Pablo,” or as he was known in the underworld of gaming, “Artistical,” was a friend of mine who was involved in writing the Lore for Divine Frequency. Sadly, he passed away before he could see the game and its world fully come to life.

Knowing that a part of Pablos's creativity, imagination, and ideas lives on here makes experiencing this game worthwhile in its own special way. Immersing myself into this game gives this world a whole different meaning to me, one that I can't quite separate from the game itself. I can't fully appreciate its clunky and confusing difficult gameplay, but that's EXACTLY how Pablo liked his games to be.

I'm glad this world exists. You can definitely feel Artistical's signature and essence throughout the game. Being able to experience the world he helped create makes it all the more meaningful.

I'm pretty sure he's proud of y'all DF dev team from wherever he may be now.

This review and playing your game is my small way of paying tribute to you, Pablo.

Rest in Peace, Amigo.

This is my game of the century !!!
