v0.5.10.2180 Hotfix | Black Cloud Overlap Fix & Key Quest Updates

Hello everyone! This update focuses on an issue affecting certain world seeds, where small but important sections near the edge of the world could be obscured by black clouds and become inaccessible. We have also prioritized clearer descriptions for several progression-critical quests, while adjusting a Desert challenge and addressing other gameplay issues.

This fix only restores map content that should have generated normally but was mistakenly covered by the black-cloud region. The normal black clouds around the edge of the world are unaffected, and areas designed to be inaccessible will remain inaccessible.

Other Updates

We have prioritized clearer descriptions for several quests that are important to game progression. These include what Sgt. Chili collects and how to construct the Museum, the completion requirement for Rohen’s “Top Seller,” and the objectives and rewards for Lin’s “Strange Ingredients.” We will continue improving guidance for other quests so that the next steps are easier to understand.

Adjusted the number of enemies in the shipwreck challenge in the Desert, reducing the original two 2-star Sand Wyverns to one. After retesting this wave, we agree that its difficulty was not appropriately tuned. Thank you very much for your feedback!
Added sustainable ways to obtain Desert King Coins. After defeating the Desert King at least once, you can purchase them from Rohen’s shop. Starred Sand Wyverns now also have a chance to drop them. We have not added a crafting recipe because we want to preserve the connection between boss Coins and their corresponding Workstations. The Desert King Workstation is currently planned for a future area. We will continue monitoring how Coins are obtained in actual gameplay.
Your profile portrait now updates immediately after changing your hairstyle or hair color.
Fixed an issue where some preset items found in the world started with less durability than intended.
Fixed an issue in some older saves where leaving the RV in the ruins could teleport the player back to the Starting Point.
Added 15 Wood to the chest rewards in “No Holiday for Archers,” reducing the chance of becoming stuck later due to insufficient materials.
Improved one of the mechanisms in “Why The Long Face.”

We have also added a loading-screen tip about batch-harvesting crops. Here is an early reveal of a trick that many players may not have discovered yet: a copper Hoe can harvest four tiles at once, while transforming into Mousey-Mouse lets you harvest an entire row with a single bite! The Blackbird’s second skill can also color furniture in place of Spray Cans.

These are tips for existing mechanics, not abilities newly added in this update.

Issues We Are Prioritizing and Expect to Fix Soon

On Mac, connecting to another player on the same local network may fail.
Players may be unable to mount the giant crab again after it stops at the water’s edge.

We are also continuing to record feedback about other gameplay experiences and have plans in place for future adjustments.

Please implement paintbrush mechanic on placing structures and similar interactions

When I equip a tool or a placeable object and press and hold LMB it should enter paintbrush state and continue to apply same effect on moving and/or moving mouse around. Right now it's not like that. It continues to try to apply equipped object to the same tile it was already have been applied. This is a wrong behavior. Good example is a how which will continue to turn a tile from plowed to unplowed back and forth if you'll hold LMB....

v0.5.9.2170 Hotfix | Auto-save Added

Hello everyone! In this hotfix, we’ve added an auto-save feature to reduce progress loss caused by unexpected situations.

Previously, the game was saved primarily at key moments, such as:

Sleeping until the next day
Teleporting
Player death
Entering or leaving areas with a fade-to-black transition (e.g., temples or NPC rooms)
Normal game exits (as long as the game is given time to complete its saving process)

In multiplayer, world data is saved by the host. If the host doesn't trigger these key moments for an extended period, the world remains unsaved. If a crash or unexpected disconnect occurs, this can lead to significant progress rollback.

The new auto-save feature adds an extra layer of protection on top of the existing key-moment save system. When enabled, the game will periodically save at your designated interval, helping lower the risk of losing progress during longer play sessions. You can set the auto-save interval in the Game Settings (ranging from 30 seconds to 30 minutes). Please select an interval based on your PC performance and play style. Selecting "Key Events Only" will maintain the original save behavior.

We have also made several improvements based on player feedback:

Fixed an issue where controller users could not select items on the second page of the right-side scroll list in the Learn Talents panel.
Adjusted the repair UI to remain open after a successful repair, making it easier to repair multiple pieces of equipment.
Added extra explanation and hint dialogue for the "Cave Watcher Clue" quest.
Many players mentioned that the second observer in the "Cave Watcher Clue" quest was tricky to find, so we’ve added some text hints to help guide you. While this might not be the absolute ideal solution, we hope it brings some immediate relief to everyone in the short term.

We’ve also been carefully gathering feedback from reviews, community posts, and player groups regarding game design, user experience, performance, bugs, and other issues.

While we may not be able to reply to every message individually, please know we are tracking and discussing all of them. Over the next few days, we will continue prioritizing stability, compatibility, save functionality, and multiplayer issues to ensure everyone can enjoy the game smoothly.

v0.5.8.2148 Hotfix | D-pad Controller Fix & Stability Improvements

Hello everyone! Thank you so much for your recent feedback and support.

To address the major issue regarding controllers being unresponsive, we have released an emergency fix in this update to improve your gaming experience!

Here are the detailed patch notes for this Hotfix:

Key Fix: Controller Experience
- Fixed an issue where the D-pad was completely unresponsive on certain Xbox and Sony (PS) controllers (So sorry for the trouble caused to controller players!).
Combat & Quest Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the "Big Blackbird" in the Passage had abnormal attack behavior.
- Fixed an issue where the host/presenter dialogue in the Anomalous Passageway was unresponsive.
Level & Mechanism Adjustments
- Added a reset switch for the Forest Box-Pushing Puzzle: We noticed that players could potentially get stuck in a unwinnable state in this puzzle, so we added a reset switch to this section.
  - Special Note: Following the same reset logic as the previous version, this reset switch is currently only visible to players who have not yet entered the Temple. For veteran players who have already explored the Temple, the level refresh mechanism is still under active development. If you are currently stuck, we kindly ask for your patience!
- Optimized Crab House Dismounting Logic: Adjusted the detection logic when dismounting the Giant Crab to prevent characters from falling into water or getting stuck in walls.
Stability Improvements
- Attempted a fix for an issue where pressing the pause key during profile avatar generation failure could cause the game to freeze.

The hunger makes this game so miserable. I'm playing with 2 others so maybe that makes starting out worse because you're feeding 3 people but my god, even waiting for my friend to join I had to eat the starter rations and i really didn't do much at all. Just get meat off monsters? The meat they don't drop very often ? By the time you find monsters to fight and get meat to drop, you'll be forced to eat it and the farming takes too long to be a reliable source of food. We like the game but it REALLY gets ruined by how bad the food is and how quickly you get hungry.

Haven’t gotten that far but play style reminds me of tinkerlands and necesse. The graphics are very nice! Fun game. Can’t wait to get more into it! Runs really well on steamdeck and Xbox controller.

Okay, fast opinion - for now? NOT FOR ME :(

Too much food consuption rate, too low resource drop, too many workstations, too many same "music" in background (that drilling my head...).

Start game is very, very boring.

It's the same problems as I reported after demo sessions - unfortunately :(

Question about bows

I noticed that the first bow you can craft has this in its description: "Each arrow it fires stacks 5 more points of damage". I assumed that meant that each consecutive hit on a monster would add 5 more damage - 9 for the first arrow, 14 for the second arrow, 19 for the third arrow, etc. Instead, I noticed that the damage stays at 9 no matter how many arrows I land on a target (excluding the rare 18 from a critical). Has anyone figured out what that "stacks 5 more damage" means?...
