Major Quality of Life Update

Sep 18

There have been a lot of players tackling the wastelands and making suggestions as well as a few bugs that survived the event. If you played one of the first demos then started playing the full release already please reset your progress! There is a potential soft-lock making progress very slow since the save data overwrote the game defaults.

Plenty of additional polish was added; zoomable tech tree, better ultrawide screen support, quests sorting and the full list below;

Fixed: Crash when double clicking scavenge button.
Fixed: Issue with old demo saves, now throwing away all profiles older than September.
Fixed: Shaders not showing fog for a few unlucky AMD users; thanks Rabbit for the help.
Fixed: General issues with wide-screen support.
Fixed: Issues with fog transition and fog ultra wide-screen support.
Fixed: Issues with supply run ultra wide.
Fixed: Issue with right fog not clearing properly
Fixed: SupplyRun backdrop show when resize now.
Fixed: Aspect changing issues with some rewards/events/etc.
Fixed: Some confusing lines of dialog, text in credits and a quests text.
Fixed: Crowbar placement and a few reward issues.
Added: Scrollbar to the Quest seen and dragging it for the quests.
Added: ToolTip label for resources to learn the icons.
Added: basic zoom in/out for tech tree.
Added: Vehicle tilt, countdown sound and vehicle upgrade popups.
Updated: Text on the upgrades for clarity.
Updated: Art adjustments.
Updated: Max interface aspect ratio to 21:9 instead of 16:9
Updated: Quests are now sorted to have claimable quests at the top.
Updated: Notifications alert to grab your attention better.
Updated: Changed vysnc setting to default to on.

The world has ended but the wasteland is becoming better and better. Play the game, leave your reviews and comments about what you would like to see to improve it further.

Question about looting cars

Am I doing something wrong? I hover over cars and nothing happens. I tried clicking on them as well and nothing happens. Out of 50 attempts I've had them give loot maybe 5 times. Is this intentional and it'll get better with upgrades or am I doing something wrong?...

Bug: double-clicking "Start" crashes game

Hey! Congrats on the release, I really like Rushcremental so far :) I noticed a bug that set me back a few times - if the "Start scavenging" button is accidentally double-clicked, the game crashes. I've mostly managed to avoid losing progress by regularly quitting the game & starting again. Is it correct that there's no automatic saving after a round?...

Don't recommend playing. Game is designed around the 2 hour refund policy. You complete the game in 2,5 hours.
Save your money and find a game that actually wants to be played. I refunded it, money hungry developer.

Problems with Ultrawide

Hey, I've got an ultrawide monitor at 3440x1440 resolution. I set the game to use 2560x1440, but when I hit full screen it maximizes it only on the left side of the screen. When I try using it windowed mode, it stretches below my taskbar and the lower bit of the window becomes unusable, and if I move it from the left side of the screen then the sides of the window become unusable too. If I drag the window around, the sides of the window become unusable too By unusable, I mean that the game doesn't regist...

Releasing with an Original Sound Track

Sep 11

The game launch will include the soundtrack composed by Frédérik Charest featuring the chill vibes found throughout Rushcremental. Turn off the busy brain after a hard day, put on the soundtrack, and unwind in the music of the wasteland.

The album features all original songs remixed and ordered for a stand-alone listening. Lock-in and focus while listening to a heavy synth-rock style music influenced by math rock and guitar tapping.

“I'm a guitar player first,” says Frédérik, “so most of my melody came from me transposing what I played on the guitar into digital music.”

The sound of Rushcremental was found by listening to synthwave, cyberwave and trying to mix chill vibes with the sound of the 80s. A Game + Soundtrack bundle option will be available to give a discount when buying both at the same time.

Green start impossible in end game races?

I swear I never had a problem with getting a green start in races, then all of a sudden it seems extremely glitched? I can be in the green the entire time and then the race starts and it bonks me down to the middle of blue. I feel like I could win the race if I got a green start, and the prize would help me progress, but now I have to overcompensate and buy the next car upgrade before I can get to it. Just sort of feels like a cheap way to make it more grindy if this is on purpose. I mean look at this - h...
