The Board of Directors is pleased to share that Drill Core Inc. has officially been plundering the galaxy operating for a year! 

In order to show our appreciation of all the profits hard work you, our esteemed employees, have dedicated to the company, we’ve forced asked the R’n’D Department to create a brand new upgrade to your working conditions: introducing the Anniversary Update!

Increase the profits (and challenge!) by choosing to Escalate a Contract before it starts for additional rewards, or use a brand new Platform building to get sponsor company tasks during a Contract for extra bounties. 

Not quite up to the additional challenge? Drill Core Inc. still does not offer any employees ‘time off’, but upon the HR Department’s insistence the Board of Directors is pleased to share that there is a brand new Relaxed Mode which will allow for a slightly less intense pace whilst still allowing you to profit. 

Of course, this is far from everything included in the Free Anniversary Update, and we welcome all employees to review the full changelog at the end of this memo for additional details, or to update Drill Core now to begin ‘enjoying’ them.

Full Changelog:

• Added end-of-game statistics showing the effective damage dealt by turrets and buildings.

• Added a new building where players can complete sponsor company tasks during a contract in exchange for rewards.

• Added the ability to Escalate a Contract. Escalated Contracts are more difficult but grant additional rewards.

• Added the ability to hire additional Specialists during a contract, on top of the Specialists available from the start. Each Specialist can only be hired once per contract.

• Added the ability to inspect the base while choosing a Technology/Distortion.

• Added 3 new platform skins: one for each platform. They are available for free to all players who launch the game before the end of September.

• Added Relaxed Mode, which can be selected before starting a contract. This mode provides a more relaxed, meditative gameplay experience.

• Added a x3 game speed option in the settings, in addition to x2.

• Improved the tutorial; tips now appear in a more consistent and logical sequence
