Whereas the first game may have felt like it was not finished or barebones this one is similar in the way the story is handled because there are barely any custom animations cutscenes, just the in game characters that stand there with dialogue added but nothing really showing what or how something happens. One might expect more from a game at this price. Basically reusing the standard game elements to save time and effort. Or all that time went into the effects with fights.

Seems badly optimized for pc, it causes stuttering for many players with higher than recommended specs with no fix available. Some find that setting the fps to unlimited helps, not everyone. Make sure to have the the VP9 video extension from microsoft store installed before playing to prevent black screen with cutscenes.

The battle system is different than the first game. I won't write about it here but since its all about battles in this game it is the most important thing between the first and second game. Look it up in a gameplay video to know more about it. It can look great visually

It remains a Fairy Tail game and if you liked the first one because of that then you might want to play it. But should you? I myself am not happy with the performance, how it does the story and how it is fight after fight with nothing in between where you can change or do things except more fights. Very basic I think. So I do not recommend it. If only more effort and time was put in the game it could be worth it. If you really want to play it because its Fairy Tail then I suggest waiting for a discount.
