Patch Notes Hotfix 2026.0.1.14910

🌐 Multiplayer

Stalled Connections: If your connection to the host stalls, you're now dropped with a "connection timed out" message instead of staying in a half-broken game where things stop appearing, disappearing or responding. Rejoin and you're back in sync. We think this was behind some of the "everything is glitching" and "I can't pick anything up" reports, so if it still happens to you, please send us feedback from the game.
Lobby Failures: If Steam can't create a lobby, you now get a warning that friends may not be able to join, and you can carry on solo. Before, you got an error and no game at all.
Stability: More fixes for errors when players leave, disconnect or change levels.

🗺️ Levels

Filled in multiple crevices that players couldn't get out of, including the gap at the base of the piñata tree, launch day's most popular raccoon trap.
Junkyard: Closed a shortcut that let raccoons skip a big chunk of the level. Sorry, speedrunners. (We're not sorry.)
River: The green button on the mine track gate in the caves no longer vanishes at certain angles.

🖥️ UI & Quality of Life

Load Game: Load Game now has its own screen, which is much easier to navigate with a controller.
Join Game: The Join Game screen now shows each game's campaign progress, so you know what you're jumping into.
Feedback Button: F8 now works from the main menu too. Keep the reports coming. We read every one, even the ones sent from the bottom of a ditch.

🎶 Audio

Music Reverb: Music shouldn't be affected by reverb anymore.
Volume Balance: Rebalanced the volume of music stingers and UI sounds.

How does the multiplayer work

I am thinking about getting this as it looks like a blast to play. Although, I buy games like this and there are usually no players on them. I know this just came out so there might be now. Is it like an invite thing, or are there servers where people join each others games?...

Trash Day is out now! A note from the team

Oct 13

Today is Trash Day! The full game is out now, and it's 10% off until October 27.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/3314580/Trash_Day/

A note from the team

We're Off By One Games, a small team of former Rocket League developers. We started the studio in 2023 to make physics games and landed on this one... where your plans go wrong on purpose. We spent years making physics games about perfect precision. This one is the opposite.

You got us here

In June, the Trash Day demo was one of the 50 most-played demos out of roughly 4,400 at Steam Next Fest. More than 600 of you reviewed it as Very Positive, more than 300,000 of you wishlisted it, and your bug reports kept us busy all summer. Thank you.

New since the demo

The demo was one area. The full game has six, from Animal Control to the Junkyard, with new obstacles and a lot more trash to haul. Bring up to five friends. The wagon is a lot for one raccoon!!

The soundtrack

Trash Day has 22 licensed songs, led by Forkroot and TRASH DAY (that's their "Get Up!" in the launch trailer), with Tokyo Machine's "CRANK" waiting at the end of the road. In his words: "ONE MAN'S TRASH IS SIX RACCOONS' ABSOLUTE TREASURE."

Every song is Content ID free, so stream it, clip it and monetize your videos without music claims. The Trash Day Soundtrack will be out on Steam soon!!

Launch day

Need a crew? Our Discord[discord.gg] is full of raccoons looking for a wagon.
Something broke? Tell us in Discord. (It was probably the raccoons.)
Want to tip the raccoons? The Stinky Rich Supporter Pack is out today too.

One small favor

Once you've played, leave a Steam review. Even "my friends drove the wagon off a cliff" counts, and it helps a small game like ours more than you'd think.

See you in Raccoon Paradise (eventually).

The cotton candy dissolved when I put it in water, and now my friends are hitting me. 10/10.

Really cute game, it's like RV There Yet, but with cute Raccoon's instead. For a cutesy fun co-op game that's pretty cheap, I think it's worth grabbing.

Finished the game in around 3 hours. But we also screwed around and meme'd a lot. Extremely short game. You can most likely finish this game in less than 2 hours if you commit.

7 bucks with tons of games releasing since August > December is a tall ask for what is essentially a "long movie night" - But its your money at the end of the day.

For fans of RV There Yet - Though significantly easier.

Example: We often had our cart pushed into the water, but we could always just get it out again further down stream. We also had plenty of Adrenalin Shots and lots of options to revive ourselves, so it was often more of a benefit to just die and be revived again. There are no limitations from what I gather. At the final level we also skipped a larger portion of the map using planks and just moved the cart over some containers (Though I do not think its possible with less than 4 players) - We collected all the loot available in the final map so we didn't necessarily skip anything besides making it easier and faster.

Although I do recommend this game since it IS fun, I also generally dont like playing short games that has almost no replayability outside hunting achievements.

October 13th is Trash Day!

Sep 10

Mark your calendars, raccoons: Trash Day is officially October 13, 2026 on Steam!

We appreciate your excellent judgment in wishlisting a bunch of Raccoons. Now we finally have a date for your next questionable group activity.

Here's our new release-date trailer. Please consider it preamble to the global holiday.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgIUobqbE18

Clear your schedule. Fill the wagon.

Round up your crew: you and up to five friends can scavenge trash, load the wagon, and put your most questionable hauling ideas into practice.

Someone can steer. Someone can push. Someone will insist the plan was working perfectly until you got involved. That's teamwork. Probably.

A little pre-launch raccoon training

Can't wait to get your paws dirty? The free demo is available now. Try a ridiculous plan and find out which friend should absolutely not be in charge of the wagon.

Thanks for wishlisting Trash Day and cheering us on. Whether you've played the demo, shared a clip, or quietly waited for the date, we're glad you're here.

See you on October 13. Bring your friends. We'll supply the trash.

Minimum: OS: Windows 11 Processor: Intel Core i5 @ 2.5 GHz or equivalent Memory: 8 GB RAM Graphics: GTX 1060 or RX 6600 XT DirectX: Version 11 Storage: 4 GB available space But would this be able to be played on Linux? (Or have an update in the future for linux compatibility?)...
