Directory Dungeon is part of the Out Of The Box Games Showcase!

Sep 21

Hello!

Today is the start of the Out Of The Box Games Showcase, a whole showcase and Steam Event devoted to games that are somewhat different to what you might have encountered before. The showcase and Steam Event will run from September 21st to September 28th, and as it happens, Directory Dungeon is taking part in it.

Directory Dungeon

If you haven't played Directory Dungeon yet, now is a great time. It's currently 40% off (along with Deep Space Exploitation...) so go pick it up!

Steam Event

The showcase will feature a Steam Event and sale, which I will link to right here. If Directory Dungeon interests you at all then I'm sure you'll be able to find other bizarre experiences to your liking.

YouTube Premiere and Twitch Livestream

The showcase itself will be available on YouTube and livestreamed on Twitch[www.twitch.tv]. The whole event is hosted and organised by Coven, so do check out all the things they get up to.[wearecoven.com]

What Else I've Been Up To

This has nothing to do with the event, but I've been busy working on my next game, Terminal Reign. Check it out! :)

Small Additions

Hi again :) Still in love with the concept and am happy that Ive bought it, though I am a bit frustrated with my bad luck :D (I died 2 times so far) I love that the loot is random and because it is a short game there is a motivation too start all over. But I have a few ideas maybe for a small update?

1. When deleting an .use Item -> like the .equip Items, show a description in the terminal and then ask, if the player wants to use it instead of just using it. I'm afraid to use some items beca...

This is actually really cool and I love the idea, but

it just feels really clunky to play. For example I instinctually click on the move shortcuts to move rooms and realize I haven't actually moved, which feels kinda weird. Also everything being in such a flat structure makes it hard for me to form a mental map of where everything is. To be fair though I can't really think of a better way to handle any of this though given the limitations of the format. Maybe some file associations?...

New Game Announcement: Terminal Reign

Sep 2

Hello!

Today I'm announcing my next game, Terminal Reign. I've been working on this for a few months now, and I'm really excited to start showing it off and posting about it more, especially to players of my other games.

So please take a look and maybe wishlist. If you like Directory Dungeon, you might like this similarly interface-driven game.

Terminal Reign

A vast empire struggles to maintain its millennia old grip on the stars. Headed by an emperor half-deranged by centuries of rule, its power is challenged by the organising kingdoms that border its domain. To manage these threats, the empire presses anyone it can into servitude to operate its decaying military of remote weapons.

Operate a remote armoured vehicle for the glory and whims of a dying empire. Undertake tactical missions, configure your command desk with an array of devices, and remain in favour to survive.
