Hello,

as you may know ShipCrafter is officially being released ! With this update, I mostly worked on optimisation, bug fixes and quality of life features, which should address many of the flaws reported by the community. Let's begin !

This new tool will allow you to perform long requested actions in the ship building scene. When enabled, it allows to select items either by clicking, shift+clicking to select multiple items at once, or box selecting a whole heap of elements. Selected items can be moved and copy pasted !

When selecting a turret in particular, you can precisely change its rotation as demonstrated below.

You can now import custom environments in the photo mode, allowing you to make more interesting scenery when making renders of your ships. Theoretically you can even import entire harbors !

It is now allowed to have cosmetics disconnected from other elements. Previously it was necessary to have them connected, which complicated detailling and hull making a lot.

Thanks to new optimisations, the supply limit was also raised to 9 999 999 (previously 400 000). Keep in mind however, that although it will not cause crashes, large amounts of blocks will still slow down your computer. The limit is basically your RAM now.

Ship files were optimized a lot and should weight 10 to 20 times less now. This should save space on your computer, speed up steam cloud synchronization, and speed up workshop downloads and uploads.

Linux instabilities should be mostly fixed now as well.

• A lot of optimisation has been achieved, almost doubling framerate during large battles

• Fixed a few stability bugs with planes in the ship editor

• It is now possible to have free floating cosmetic elements

• Added a selection tool in the builder, allowing to move elements, copy-paste selections, and rotate turrets precisely

• Optimized the ship editor physics, the new maximum block limit is 9999999

• Optimized ship files size, they should be 10 to 20 times lighter now

• Added a 3D file importer for the photo scene, allowing to import custom environments for rendering more scenic pictures of your ships

• Fixed some stability issues on Linux

• Fixed a bug when placing rudders perpendicularly to ships, allowing to break or gain speed from steering

• Added Ukrainian and Brazilian translation

See you for next update !

Hello, here is a new update to the game.

This should hopefully make it more stable on Linux, and we also added a few new features, included a long awaited one.

Penetrating shells can now lit fires on ships. You can right click on a turret to see the corresponding value to the shells it fires. Fires can last for a few minutes, and will deal the same damage as the shell over time. Only large enough shells can start fires, which excludes shells with a caliber smaller than 120mm.

This mode previously had a wave sizes similar to those during storms. It now has even larger waves.

This US gatling gun is very capable against airplanes, and has the faster horizontal and vertical traverse in the game so far.

- modded torpedoes can now be guided with mods.

- changed large caliber canons sound effect.

- slightly decreased accuracy of AA guns.

- increased waves size with max wave weather mode in custom battles.

- improved the decal display of shell impacts. Large impacts are priorised over small impacts now.

- penetrating shells now have a chance to lit a fire on ships, causing additionnal damage equal to the base shell damage. Fire chance can be seen in the turret statistics.

- added the 20mm phalanx CIWS turret

- steam autocloud sync should now work between Windows and Linux

See you for next update !
