When TANGENT first launched, I had one big realization: I'd made the game way too difficult.

I love challenging games, but I also want players to have the chance to get comfortable with TANGENT's movement mechanics before throwing them into the deep end.

So, I've spent the last few weeks designing an entirely new introductory stage!

This new stage is designed to help players find their flow, experiment with swinging and momentum, and gradually master the mechanics that make TANGENT fun.

Don't worry — the original TANGENT experience isn't going anywhere!

The original stage is now the harder challenge for players who want to put their movement skills to the test.

Whether you're just learning to swing or chasing a record-breaking time, there's now a better place to start.

Congratulations to Lunaris, winner of TANGENT's first speedrun contest with an incredible time of 10:14.94!

Lunaris also provided tons of valuable feedback throughout development, so I've added a permanent tribute in-game to recognize his achievement. Thank you!

-Continue a run across multiple sittings

-Customizable marble

-Juiced up abilities in early game

-Redesigned difficult sections

-Overhauled menus

-Refined the movement feel in difficult sections

I've learned an incredible amount from releasing TANGENT and watching people play it. Your feedback has helped shape the direction of the game, and I'm excited to keep improving it.

If you tried TANGENT at launch and found it a little too punishing, I encourage you to give it another shot!

And if you've been waiting to jump in, TANGENT is on sale for the first time!

Thanks for playing and supporting my game!
