Here are my thoughts after completing the 1980s Normal Career Mode with 1st-place finishes on every track. It has been a long time since an F1 game kept me this entertained. While it has a very retro vibe, the fast-paced scrolling makes it incredibly fun to play. Visually, it reminds me of Super Monaco GP, but it also captures the scenic beauty of OutRun.Rain races are a bit more challenging, as the tracks get slippery and the water spray cuts down your visibility. You can really feel the creator’s love for F1 throughout the game. I love that you can choose machines from the '60s, '70s, '80s, and 2000s.As for Steam Deck compatibility, it works perfectly once you switch the controller settings to "Gamepad."If you are looking for a nostalgic racing game with smooth, comfortable controls, I highly recommend it!

A beautifully simple racing game that is clearly taking inspiration from arcade racers of the late '80s and early '90s. The game kind of works like Ridge Racer where everyone sort of takes off in front of you initially and then your job is to get past them by the end. There's no draft winding from what I can tell, and it can be a little awkward getting around other AI racers, and if you slam into them too many times the game just says FAILURE and you lose the ability to accelerate to Max speed which means you pretty much need to restart..

Track design is simple and taking inspiration from real F1 counterparts in the past. The simplistic art style makes it easy to remember certain parts of the track after only a few laps, giving each track their own distinct personality. I love the tracks in this

The biggest selling point is the soundtrack. Oh my God. This soundtrack might be the best video game music I've heard in years. 18 tracks of beautiful synthwave 16 bit chiptune makes this an INCREDIBLE purchase even if you are uninspired by the actual racing. Like seriously this may be my favorite soundtrack since Expedition 33. Buy this if you love arcade racers or just good music.

Update: Game does not seem to save your career progress once you turn the game off. Not sure if this is a glitch or was intentional, but it is annoying. Also would really love if there was an option to randomly cycle the music or switch to the next song during gameplay. Still love the game so hope they can make these small adjustments soon.

Very basic. It's not bad but it needs a better Career mode and upgrades.

I'd wait for a better Sale. It has the skeleton of something really cool though.

Hangin' Off is a cheaper and the better option right now. It doesn't have the Career Mode, yet... but if you're looking for great driving physics, music and SPEED... Hangin' Off is superior.
