On the surface this might seem like just another time management game, but the hard work and thought that went into the mechanics is to be admired. Your performance is affected by your skills (or lack of) and you will sound ghastly if you don't practice and ramp up those skills, I really enjoy hearing the tunes get better and better as your journey progresses.

The game boasts a top tier soundtrack, some of which is original, handcrafted pixel art, manic as hell addictive mini games that I'm lowkey addicted to, it really does have a lot to offer.

The days do seem fast paced, but your time soon becomes easier to manage as you get used to the routine of the gameloop. It's up to you how you spend your days; grinding at work earning dosh to buy the best instruments and equipment there is, eating junk and playing your guitar all day writing songs, or jamming with the band to be able to record the best albums in town. Play your day your way.

The Black Metal mode is a pretty intense change up from regular story mode, and the free game option offers a more chill vibe with the option of a different job (mini game) which is similar to the arcade game Tapper and different difficulties.

It doesn't hold your hand, you will need to figure some stuff out on your own ... it is the world of rock n roll after all.

See you on the leaderboards!

The base is there for a really great game. Solid foundation for building a rock band, writing music and upgrading your bands great. There is no touring and albums didn't seem to matter at all in free play. Didn't even make money off them. There were some game crashing bugs so I can't be sure if the album issue was a bug or coincidence. I never saw gear better than 3*s and if there is a mechanic to unlocking them it's not evident. The story mode was fun and charming but took less than 2 hours to complete. This game is clearly a labor of love but without a better sense of progression or purpose to that progression it will continue feeling like a work in progress/early release game.

I really like how much the town feels like "Oslo" with its quirky cute pixel art. Fun slowly but surely going through all the steps it takes to perform in a hit band
