Also, people should install DOTA2. Free as well. A good list of free games would be good. Paid for games are also good, just watch for what people are playing as you log in.

I'll take a look at Robocraft soon. I've been looking at playing TF2 with a dedicated party, and it doesn't look all that easy. The best bet right now is to find an empty server, have one person join it, and have other people join it as well. This means that other people might end up joining our game though.

If someone has a powerful enough internet connection to handle the 10-16 connections, they can do a dedicated server on their local box. I've only got 12m up, so I don't know that I can.

What is everyone planning on playing? I've never played TF2 - I set my PC up to download it, it looks pretty awesome.

The basics are actually pretty simple - jump in, and join a battle, blow things up. Customizing the tanks and such can certainly take time, and the advanced stuff is tricky, but for just starting the game isn't that bad. It's a relatively basic 'drive tank around, shoot other tanks' kind of game. The higher Tiers of play add a lot of different more complicated mechanics, but those aren't things you need to worry about starting out.

Robocraft looks like it has a pretty high learning curve. Have you played it?
