What are Police Sports Esports?
Esports often take the form of organised, multiplayer video game competitions, normally between
players, individually or as teams. It is a large, growing industry within the online community. 435.9
million gamers tuned into esports in 2020. By 2024, 577.2 million people are expected to be
watching esports on a regular basis. Recognising this, Police Sport has created a division for Police
employees - sworn, non-sworn, and ex-members to participate. This sits alongside the Police Sports
organisation motto “to actively encourage, promote, and coordinate police sport, games, and
recreation.”
