To Help You Become a Successful CS:GO Bettor

Here are some of the major things you should avoid.

• Never bet more than you can afford to lose. There's no certain % you should bet on a given game, but don't go all-in. Don't put 75% of your inventory on an underdog. Just use common sense and scale your bets accordingly.

• Stay calm, cool, and collected after experiencing an unexpected loss. You're bound to lose a medium sized overdog bet, eventually. It's not the end of the world if you didn't bet more than you could afford to lose. Don't feel the need to recover this loss immediately by betting more than you should on an upcoming match. Bet just like you have been and you will recover over time.

• Never bet on matches with teams you've never heard of and don't know anything about. There's always times on CSGL when there's not many good games going on so they throw up garbage matches with garbage teams. Just do your best to skip these games unless you feel confident in one of the teams. And even then, these kinds of matches are prone to DDoS and match-fixing, so it's best just to skip them. You don't have to bet on every game, and you won't be profitable in the long-run if you do so.

• When betting it's important to play the odds. If the odds are 80-20, but you deem the real world odds to be 65-35, placing a bet on the underdog is the only logical thing to do. CSGL odds are a beautiful thing because they're determined by the community, and there are many misinformed bettors out there. Take advantage of them, but don't get obsessed with going for underdog bets.
