To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Singularity. The power is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of quantum physics and chess, most of the skill will go over a typical player's head. There's also Singularity's existentialist outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Harlan Edison literature, for instance. The players understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these mechanics, to realise that they're not just - they say something deep about Singularity mains. As a consequence people who dislike Singularity truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Singularity's homicidal catchphrase "Die. Fast. Please." which itself is a cryptic reference to Low Tier God. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as a Singularity player's genius wit unfolds itself on their monitors. What fools.. how I pity them.
