TFF - Now on Steam

Since 2001, the gaming clan TFF - The Final Fantasy has been a tight knit group of diverse gamers. Now we are officially on Steam.

History and Background:

TFF was founded by Cloud (Michael C.) as a Jedi Knight clan early in 2001. Under the leadership of members such as Cloud, Tidus, Tekka, Pendragon, Lone Wolf, and Jecht, as well as numerous veterans, TFF came to be one of the significant clans on the Zone in the twilight days of JK and the days of Jedi Outcast/Jedi Academy. Following a period of inactivity, despite remaining in touch and active on forums and through Facebook, TFF has returned in 2012. Resuming leadership after over a decade is Pendragon.

TFF is in the stages of deciding what games to represent on Steam. For the time being, this is an invite-only clan. Recruiting will begin in the near-future...

Constitution Updated, Council still open

Now TFF is still considered inactive with regards to gaming, but I have made changes to the constitution, which I would like to see confirmed. Under the rules as they stand, I do not have the authority to change the constitution without at least one council member to approve it. There are three council slots, and the two taken slots are inactive. So I can appoint any member who wants to help out to acting council member. I can also, since we're still in a planning phase, appoint an official council member. So any veteran who is interested in doing some organizing, it's still open.

The new constitution is 1.04, the current one is 1.02 (there is another version which was written, 1.03, that was met with approval, but never formally accepted due to personal commitments). The proposed new constitution can be read here: http://sdrv.ms/12jCzCT

Summary of changes:

1.04 - Added rules for deactivating divisions, and removing divisions entirely. Added Appendix E for information on other clans connected to TFF.
1.03 - Formatting and visual changes, changes to rules on Lifetime Membership, fixed a loophole allowing the constitution to be dissolved sneakily (a section of the constitution describing votes cannot be changed with fewer votes than it describes). Relaxed rules on voting records. Rules for creating TFF websites and social networks. Clarified when rules apply (in games when TFF tag is used, or on TFF-related social networking).

First of all, sorry for making a string of announcements all in a row. This happens to be important, so I need to post again.

I have met with Hurricane this morning and discussed the new TFF constitution and other topics, and we have agreed to confirm it. The TFF Constitution is now official. You can read the document here:

For new members or those adverse to reading, it is a long document with a lot of information...but only section 5 (the rules section) affects all members at all times, and if you read anything, be sure to read that. It is five pages all together. For those who don't want to read that much, there is a forum post in our discussion area containing a summary that is only a single page. The remainder describes the leadership system and rules in detail, and can be used by any member as a reference. It is not required reading, but it is very useful.

Second bit of news, Hurricane is now Division Captain of the new Call of Duty division. This division covers all Call of Duty games, and is anticipating the release of the newest game in the series. Refer any questions about this division to Hurricane.
