I still have a lot of complaints with Overwatch 2: the monetization, the obvious favoritism, the embarrassing excuse of a pve mode, the complete lack of lore, and worst of all Blizzard in general.
However, Overwatch 2 is the best Hero shooter in terms of gameplay, the most important aspect. 5v5, 6v6, and Stadium are phenomenal. I am forever grateful to Marvel Rivals for scaring Blizzard into make real meaningful changes to Overwatch 2. Without it, I don't know if I'd still be playing.

I hope this game continues to improve, and I really hope my major complaints will be addressed at some point. But I at least can go back to recommending this game to new and returning players. Just, don't spend too much money on it, for your own sanity.

EDIT: As of Nov 11th 2025 they added an in game lore tab to read a bit of the lore. A step in the right direction but it's not enough. It's missing everything from before this date, and the updates are rather small.
