There will never be another Destiny 2.

The world of Destiny is the most immersive and lived-in gaming universes I have ever gotten the pleasure of experiencing. Its world and characters have reached into my heart that other games would dream of achieving in such a way. The gunplay in this game is some of the best ever made, with each weapon having its own personality. It's an achievement in itself with how Bungie was able to keep the magic of the game-feel alive despite the constant up and downs with the mismanaged development that plagued the studio.

The Final Shape has been the only videogame ending to ever bring me to tears. Call that corny or cringe, I don't care. The feeling of triumph and closure after living through Destiny's story for 7 years is something I don't think I'll ever feel again in a videogame.

I met some of my best friends through this series. I've conquered Day 1s with them, gotten rare drops with them, laughed and cried with them. I would have never met such an amazing group of friends if I had never picked this game up, and I will always be grateful for the time we spent playing. I've made memories in this universe I'll carry with me for the rest of my life.

I miss playing this game every day.
