You have turned a page that was never meant to be turned. There are books that are kept away from the shelves — not because they contain anything forbidden, but because some stories are better discovered than deliberately found. I have always been drawn to things that are easy to lose: a place I happened to pass through, a photograph taken without planning, a game that somehow stayed in my mind long after I stopped playing it, a song that became inseparable from a certain time in my life. Perhaps that's why I keep collecting these little pieces of the past. Not because they are important to anyone else, but because sometimes a small detail is enough to bring an entire moment back.

Steam is simply where this story happens to be found. A collection of games, memories, passing interests, and unfinished chapters, gathered together without much of a plan. Some pages are carefully kept, others were written almost by accident — but all of them belong to the same story.

Perhaps that is what I like most about books. They never ask to be finished. There is always another page. Another chapter. Another story waiting somewhere between the lines.
So I won't tell you what this book is about. A story still being written has no proper ending to explain.
