Power & Torque

Standard M4: ~425 hp and 406 lb-ft torque.

Competition Package: ~444 hp.

CS variant: ~454 hp and 442 lb-ft.

GTS: ~493 hp with water-injection and more aggressive tune.

Redline & Power Delivery

Redline: ~7,600 rpm, unusually high for a turbo engine due to robust internals.

Power is broad and flat thanks to twin turbos and VANOS/Valvetronic systems — very usable for both street and track.

Turbo Layout

Twin mono-scroll turbos (one per cylinder bank) reduce lag compared to single-turbo designs and give linear throttle response.

0–60 / Driveability

With DCT: ~3.8–4.1 s depending on model and conditions.

Manual is slightly slower but gives a more traditional engagement.

Thermal Management

Designed with larger intercoolers and upgraded oil systems over N55 to manage sustained load and heat during track use.
