Welcome to Low Poly Styled's Games Release Newsletter, where we recap the recently low poly games released during the previous month on the first Friday of every month.

Last month on the curator page has been quite hectic with practically multiple same day releases in the middle of September & personally exiting mid-term hell that I had to delay the special bonus Kickstarter newsletter for October. As an apology, I've decided to release this newsletter a day early, which fits perfectly with the Steam Autumn Sale 2026.

Beyond the setbacks, this marks another milestone with surpassing 1.8k followers (at this rate y'all could clear 2k before the end of the year & I'd be in absolute tears seeing this grow as fast as it has for a year in a half this has been maintained). Thank you so much for the ongoing support, please keep circulating the links as they help grow the page & help other likeminded people to find their next favorite game.

As we're rapidly approaching 500 games featured on the curator page, the page will receive more lists as further discoverability options arise to aid games who have low inclusions & more niche subgenres. In case anyone would like a preview on how that would look, check out these two unlisted examples Short n' Sweet & Boomer Shooter's Treasure Trove I've set up thus far. One focuses on tackling shorter "can take a single afternoon to clear" games based off the estimates & averages in run time using YouTube long plays & HowLongToBeat as sources; the other is specifically targetted to just the Boomer Shooter subgenre of first person shooters. While this curator page has a list for just first person shooters, I felt as the distinction was a growing necessity as the catalogue increases & list caps are reached.

These are experimental unlisted lists, so please provide ample feedback & suggestions for new lists in the comments below.

Unfortunately, last month there has been more than 10 games released featured in the newsletter so two games won't have proper Steam embeds. Welcome to Low Poly Styled's Games Release Newsletter, where we recap the recently low poly games released during the previous month on the first Friday of every month.

To start out with, the curator page has reached over 200k views (w/ 98k of those in the last 90 days) & it's really insane that it has gotten that much traction in such little time. Thank you for sharing the page around, it has helped tremendously for folks to find their next favorite games (feel free to keep circulating the links!).

As most of you who read these have noticed, informative reviews haven't slowed down thanks in part to my schedule being far more lax than what I had originally expected when going for full time this semester. So I've been able to keep up with the workload on the curator page a bit in the meantime.

Onto more pressing matters, there has been a large influx of Kickstarter campaigns from games featured on the curator page that are launching, have launched or are still receiving late pledges. Given the large quantity, I'll be making a special announcement later on the available projects to pledge + campaigns that have yet to launch.

Currently there's the Tricky & the Dreamcaster & Lie of Caelum: Spirit Kickstarters that you should definitely check out after reading this. Each of the campaigns landing pages are available through the review links on the respective games & are updated whenever they're closed.

One last final note is to showcase a new list for games that have fishing mechanics as side activities or are central premises to their experiences. I'm sure folks will enjoy this a lot (I know I would).

I'll be cooking up more lists for some of the outliers on the page such as more genre specific or ones that feature games that are fully playable on authentic 5th & 6th gen hardware (since I've been noticing a larger scale of such projects increasing for the original PlayStation & SEGA Dreamcast in the coming months).

Keep in mind this is still a solo operation, so I'm bound to miss games, thankfully there's a full thread on telling me which ones I've missed so leave several there & I'll keep the suggestions on hand alongside those I've jotted down.

Thank you! I'm glad to see that, despite being the only negative review on the page, it has helped. I knew the dev, Bad Wish Games, was very scummy about their critics, but never knew that they'd silence folks speaking against the game. I was already tired of the dev's limited donation outfits on their ko-fi & downplaying the impact that GenAI played in the development of the game by saying it is just the demo.

I'm not one to leave negative reviews on games that I've not personally played, but this was an exception due to the way that the developer has been doing things.

Your review of "Welcome to Doll Town" is very spot on. The game developer keeps removing posts in the discussion page when people bring things up that are valid criticism.
